I designed the entire lamp and was inspired by the craftsman style era.. I made the lamp stand from dark walnut and maple wood. In keeping with the color palette and design of the lamp stand I began the process of choosing glass colors, types of glass and shape. I wanted the lamp shade to look different but yet attractive when on or off. The browns, yellows and amber are all complementary. I intentionally used dark and light amber transparent glass in the center of each panel to make the contrast between the on and off mode. I used black in keeping the an authentic antique look. The bottom portion of the shade is channeled zinc to give it a finished look.
I was very pleased with my first ever design. I hope that you enjoy it as well
Thanks
