Description:
I post this simple paperweight mosaic only to acknowledge Nature as a prime benefactor to mosaic artists who work on rock as a platform. Walking beside the Issaquah Creek in Issaquah, Washington, I noticed this colorful piece of sandstone. The flat side--which is now the glass mosaic side--was somewhat interesting, so I picked it out of the shallow water, but I almost threw it back into the creek. Then, as I turned it over, the side buried in the sand revealed a Bison from Yellowstone National Park. Indeed art is a reflection of life in its many-faceted beauty.
