Description:
Years ago, copier ink was micro ground in "ball mills". The balls here are hard, clear glass marbles, or "stones". I used to work in an ink factory for a few years after college, and have remained friends with some of the people I worked with. When the place recently closed, I salvaged a box of these clear stones. Some now reside in a bathroom window. They form an interior border around lenses, green flashed glass, and some jewels almost a hundred years old. I love incorporating unusual or historic glass into my windows.
Material used:
- antique and industrial jewels
- flashed glass
- lead came
