Fused Magnolia Dish

 This dish measures approximately 8" across. The free-form edges make it a very unique piece. The base glass was cut to match the shape of the pattern. The flower and leaf shapes were hand-cut using a creamy white for the flower, shades of green for the leaves, and dichroic glass for the stamens, and layered on the base glass. It was properly fired, slumped in a mold, and annealed for lasting beauty.  Glass used was System 96.  The last photo was taken on a mirror to demonstrate the textured underside of the leaf sections.
