Rose Garden of Life

My daughter and I made this for my mother-in-law, a gift for her 87th birthday.  Each flower represents a person in her life. The Scotch thistle which is the center and base of this piece represents her husband, and she is represented by the large yellow rose directly above it. Six large roses represents her three children and their spouses.  The middle size roses represent her grandchildren and spouses.  The red buds represent her great grandchildren, and one extra bud was added for future generations.  This piece is located in a half moon window in the direction of her favorite chair.
