Description:
I started working in coldworking glass last summer at the 2019 Glass Getaway and absolutley love the effects of changing color as light travels through various curves and facets of glass. This piece is 6" x 6" x 2" sculpture. Seven layers of glass including an old lighthouse lens, starphire glass, and dichroic glass are adhered using a special optically clear UV resin and UV light. The other tools I used are a 10" diamond blade table saw and a 24" lap grinder. The end result was created by hand and eye as I worked the piece.
Material used:
- a Lighthouse lens
- starphire glass
- dichroic glass
- special mix UV Resin
