Bloomin’ Beauty

I created glass tiles using various 96 COE cut scraps for flowers and cut vases out of transparent glass so that stems would show through the vase. I used transparent blue and green medium and fine frit for water in the vases. I then used ¾" cradle boards for mounting. I varnished the cradle board with three coats of varnish and drilled four holes in the glass tiles. I then marked those holes on the cradle board and drilled holes in the cradle board that would match up to the glass tile. I then found some mounting hardware that is meant for computers because the screws were small enough to fit through the small drill holes. I then used a ½" spacer that allows the glass tile to float. I am loving these and can't wait to creat more of them.
