My inspiration for this piece was from my 2 year old Grandbaby, who has had many heart surgeries and hospital stays. This piece was made as a donation to his great doctors and nurses in the cardiac unit at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. With hope that it brings joy to all patients and staff. It is 28"x30", framed in zinc came, made of a combination of iridescent, retro, water and textured glass. As a florist, for over 40 years, I can arrange glass flowers as well as live flowers. The more you look the more you notice, for example, the 3D stamins inside the lillies, the antique relish dish for the vase, the hand crafted wire for the heartbeats inside the white daises and Mason's name in the caterpillar (which was alot harder than I antisipated) and some assorted bugs and a hummingbird hanging out enjoying the flowers.
