Oceans Crest

The inspiration for this piece was the moment waves crash on the shore and create the splash of color, foam and energy.  This vase is approximately 9x7.  To  ceate the foam effect, I mixed powders and frit, then fused.  Once I had that piece completed,  I centered it on a clear circle and added various sizes of frit in colors that represent the ocean and fired.  And finally slumped it over a stainless steel mold.
