"Thought and Desire"

This piece is a depiction of Odin and his two ravens. There are many textures and colors in this piece and it is framed using 1" x 1 3/8" oak surrounding 3/8" zinc came. The oak is stained in Special Walnut and then finished with 3 coats of Polyurethane. The eye patch is an amber jewel and the axe heads are etched with a Celtic symbol. The piece has black patina applied and is hand polished. I used the copper foil method to create this piece. It is 24" wide by 25.5" in hieght. There are 259 pieces of glass in this creation.
