Description:
This was a project of love for my newly married son and his wife – appropriately, a Celtic Love Knot – to go into the kitchen cabinets he was refacing. There aren't any premade Celtic Knot bevel packs that are sized appropriately for a cabinet door so it was a chance to learn how to bevel glass. Projects like this let you learn new things: how to bevel glass, how lead-free came is not easy to solder neatly (and as a result got scrapped and replaced with leaded came), and that some patterns look great on paper but get too busy once they're put together. If I were to do this pattern again, I'd lessed the "background" so the bevels stand out more... PICTURES: 1. completed panel ready for transport, 2. pattern, 3. bevels in progress, 4 & 5. project in progress.
