Minoan Horse

This horse measures 10 1/2in tall by 9in long and is based on ancient Minoan horse bronzes and paintings found on Crete.  The glass patterning is created by casting a large of block of glass composed of multiple strips of alternating colored Bullseye thin glass.  The glass block is then broken into "chunks" which are carefully placed into a form composed of stainless steel strapping.  The resulting flat casting is slumped over a body mold placed on top of an elevated sheet of stainless steel which is bent to position the legs.
