Pattern Bar Bowl

This 12 inch strip construction bowl was made with Oceanside 96 Glass. Pattern bars were made in a Triangular mold, fused and then cut with a tile saw. The other focal points were created by placing glass rods and 1/4 inch clear strips on a piece of thin clear glass. Once fused they were cut into 3/8 inch pieces.  The focal points were placed on a sheet of papyrus kiln paper and framed with 3/8 inch strips. Other 3/8 inch strips were added in various colors and patterns to complete the circle. Once fused the piece was cut with a tile saw, cold worked and then slumped.
