Blooming Colors

Spring is showing its true colors in this 3-dimensional floral piece. Each flower has been carefully hand-cut from glass and fired in the kiln at least two times to give an organic shape. Details have been added, such as stamens for flowers and veins in the leaves. The flowers, greenery and leaves were then carefully arranged on a 17" by 7" background of streaky blue glass that represents the sky, dusted with earthy greens and browns to give the plants a base. It can be hung on a wall or in a window, or placed on a stand on a shelf.
