Moby Dick

This was so much fun to make!  I started by creating the whale. I used a slumping mold and traced the shape onto fiber paper. I did two tracings and filled with various frits.  THEN I combined the two layers and added further frit to fill in spots that were too thin. I countour fused which gave it it's great texture.  Then I cut a hexagon of tekta clear glass, added waves of various blue glass. I hand cut the boat and drew Captain Ahab with glassline paint.  I finished with a later of grey frit behind and tack fused.
