We lived in Hawaii for many years and although we are no longer there, our heart still is. We wanted to capture some components of the islands that stood out to us. This piece is 18" x36". The corner pieces are Kokomo precast turtle shells in each corner to celebrate the Honu (turtle). The border is red and clear to symbolize the clear waters and red lava. The blue in the sky is meant to capture the gorgeous Hawaiian skies. The mountain is Mt Olomana which is located on Oahu. The flowers are ginger, plumeria, hibiscus, birds of paradise and heliconia. We feel that this sybolizes some of the many things that mean Aloha to us.
