Grapevine

Description:

We planted grapes this year and I wanted to do a brick that represents what I hope to see one day.  I used a some brown swirl glass I had left over. Not the best quality but the bumpy texture was perfect for the wooded part.  I used Van Gogh glass in gold for the border and in green for the leaves. I find the back can chip off easily during grinding allowing the thin set color to come through, so I tinted my thin set green for that section. I found frit balls to represent my grapes. I felt they were the perfect color. Although I would have liked them a smidge larger, it was impossible to find much of anything between the size of these and the larger glass stones that others use as vase fillers and stained glass pieces.

I sealed it and can't wait to add it to my cinderblock garden box in a couple of weeks once it's cured.
