Windmill and Lighthouse

Thanks for accepting these entries. I've been making stained glass pieces for just over a year; these are amoung my recent favorite pieces. I hope you like them!

The Windmill is a 10-inch diameter piece inspired by a day we spent touring windmills in Holland. The image was designed from a composite of our photos from that day. The colors, the water, the bright sky, and the multiple windmills we saw that day come back to us each time we look at this piece.

The Lighthouse is a 12-inch diameter work inspried from closer to home. We live on the shore of Cape Cod in Massachusettes where the ocean is the center of our happy place. Steady winds are pretty common here, so I tried to capture the choppy waters by cutting the glass at different angles. The light house is not representative of a specific structure, but rather a generic version indicative of most on the Cape and Islands.
