Beach Windows

"Beach Windows" is an 11.5-inch round, fused glass plate - full fused and slumped in a shallow sloped, 12-inch square mold, with multiple layers of sheet glass and powdered frit.

I love the appearance of depth that can be achieved by layering clear glass "windows" over layers of frit and/or translucent or opal glass. It reminds me of looking through clear waters. I designed this piece to give a sense of peering through the shallow waters along a tranquil beach.
