Blue heron

So I was inspired to do this one because we have these guys behind our house quite often.  I found a pattern in the Ed Sibbett, Jr. Sidelights, fanlights and transoms book and started there. I blew it up added some more greenery and cattails for the main part then created a white and beveled border. The main picture is copper foiled and soldered while all the borders are done with 3/8 lead came with  a 1/8 zinc frame.  This piece is.  16 1/2 x 24 1/2 and is 1 of 4 windows above our fireplace.  This was a fun piece to create  !
