Panel #70. This stained glass panel is a depiction of a Wild Turkey. I think the colors of the feathers are pretty accurate as far as a wild turkey goes. This panel has 312 pieces of glass incorporated into the design. The panel is frames with 3/8" zinc came and then framed with 1 1/2" wide oak. The oak frame is hand sanded, stained with 2 coats of European Chestnut and finished with 4 coats of polyurethane. The panel incorporates a copper ring in the chest area to accommodate an actual turkey beard if so desired. The panel is displayed using two brass roll hooks installed on top of the oak frame. The panel has been be meticulously cleaned, black patina applied and each piece of glass has been polished in detail. The panel is 22.5 inches wide and 28.5 inches tall. Wild Turkey Whiskey is distilled in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; hence the amber color in the corners and name of the panel.
