Tree of the Seasons

Tree of the Seasons is a kinetic stained glass sculpture. One will witness the rising and setting of the sun and the moon behind a surreal representation of a tree and flowers showing all of the colors of the year--red, green, yellow, and gold--if the website allowed for video. The sculpture is approximately 20" tall at the apex of the sun and moon moblile component. Tree of the Seasons is made from stained glass, aluminum wire (wrapped in copper foil), copper pipe, wood, and a continuous motor. The inspiration was watching the trees outside my window as I worked from home over the past two years. I also wanted the challenge of using stained glass in a different way.
