Anne’s Animal Spirit

This mosaic of an octopus is made from hand cut stained glass and round flat beads glued and grouted onto a 20"W X 10"H float frame. I copied the design from a picture I had seen on Pinterest. I was inspired to make it after my best friend shared with me a spiritual experience she had with an octopus at an aquarium. The bright colors are absolutely beautiful with light shining through, but my favorite feature is his eye. I wanted to make it seem "alive" and "wise" and I think I achieved that.
