Golden Hair Mermaid

I really enjoyed making this mermaid. I designed it based on various mermaids I saw on Pinterest. I was excited to see how her scales would look made from Van Gogh glass in blue-green. But I was not prepared for the stunning beauty of her hair! Each strand was cut from Gold sparkle Van Gogh glass with a few strands of Copper Van Gogh scattered throughout. I painted the 6"W x 24"H wood panel with textured, metallic teal giving it a 3 dimensional quality. As a whole it is so much more than I anticipated. But OMG! That hair!!
