"Twilight Trilliums" is a 9" x 24" glass panel mounted in a 2" wide semiglossed black wooden frame. Trilliums are a woodland wildflower in Ohio. The flowers of one variety start out white when they are fresh and fade to a pale pink as they age. I captured this in the panel and added drama by choosing black glass for the background field.
Construction is by copper foil method. Final solder work has been blackened with a patina.
This piece looks spectacular with bright sunlight coming through it.
