Stained Glass Watering Can Wind Chimes

This piece is an original design and completely handmade. Some of the best features of this piece are the twisted wire vines that hang from the top of the can, the three dimensional sprinkler head, and of course the water droplets that create the chimes. The chimes are made by tumbling the droplets in a rock tumbler until they have a soft finish, then holes are drilled and they are hung from the sprinkler head using fishing line. The chimes create a serene tinking sound as the gently clink together. 

The watering can measures 15.5 inches from the sprinkler head to the side handle, and 10.5 inches from the top of the upper handle to the bottom of the can. The height inclunding the hanging chimes is approximately 2.5 feet. Where the head meets the spout, and the spout meets the can, and the handle meets the can have all been reinforced using wire to add needed stability. There are a total of 109 pieces, 25 of which are water droplets of varying sizes.

I have always loved wind chimes of all kinds and I have had this idea for a while, but now it has finally come to life. Most of my inspiration comes from nature and things that I find peace in.
