Angel from Casa Azul

Mixed media mosaic composed from opaque, iridescent and mirror glass, vintage African, glass and metal beads, old jewelry components, glass millefiori and other items.  The face is inspired by a vintage Mexican tin mask and the body features many Mexican cultural references including a portrait cabochon of Frida Kahlo, several santos, a tin sacred heart milagro and day of the dead glass sugar skulls.
