My glasswork starts with "Tears for Ukraine" progresses to "Blood and Snow in Ukraine" to Horrors in Ukraine after Munch to finally "Horrors of Ukraine." The hair on all of the pieces are shades of yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
When Russia first invaded, I wrote a poem "Eight and a Half Decades Ago the World Changed" comparing the Russian invasion to the bombing of Guernica. (see Picasso's painting "Guernica.I would have attached a copy of the poem but the computer didn't let me.) That bobming is considered the first time civilians were targeted.
In addition I have photographs of Kiev and Ukraine from about a decade ago showing how cosmopolitan and shophisticated and normal life was. The photo images offer a striking contrast to the images seen on TV and my glasswork.
