Rain

8"x13" Panel. Wow! This piece is about the moment happening under the umbrella, then there is the rain. I love the organic flow of the paint, the hard reality of the umbrella, the protection from the storm; all of it just comes together into a moment I can't stop looking at. 

This is black frit powder on white Tekta, sand-carved away to reveal the figures and umbrella. Then I sandblasted the face and added the Colorline paint and some matching frit.
