Window into Space

The window is 24 in wide by 20 in long.  I used copper foil and bordered it in zinc before putting it into the old window frame.  I used opaque black for the "space" so that just the objects are lit.  I love the way it looks different depending on the light!  Even though it's hard to tell from the pictures, I used black patina on most of the solder, except for the rings around the planet and the ice around the comet.  I left those silver (trying to capture the icy look).  I created the pattern myself.
