The Octopus was a comissiond piece. I made it for a man in Hawaii. It is fused but was made in three pieces (not joined) for shipping and for the final display. The glass in in a window that can open by sliding the glass.
The feathers are fused and slumped on the wave mold. The two pieces were made and donated to the Daughters of American Revolution. The annual convention has an auction to make money for American Indian scholarships. I have donated feathers twice before. My daughter is in DAR and assists in running the auction. One year my glass made over $2000 toward scholarships.
