Description:
In all candor, this was a "failed" attempt at creating a vessel sink using a frit stretch fused glass technique. While I LOVE the design, the fusing schedule I applied clearly missed the mark. I opened the kiln to discover a mini-me version of the intended outcome. While the proportions weren't what I was aiming for, I got lucky with the center hole left in the processing. I stared at the piece for days before arriving at the conclusion that the piece wanted to be flipped upside down to be a pendant light all along. Rather than living in my home as the vessel within which I wash my hands, it now watches over me as I wash the dishes. Go figure.
