Meadow Moment

0 loves
Description:

At a low point in my life, I attended a retreat at my church. For my solo reflection time, I went outside & found a log to sit on overlooking a meadow. During my time outside, God brought some encouraging thoughts to my heart. First, when I was holding a daisy from the field in my hand, I was reminded of how God’s love never ends, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness (Jeremiah 31:3)”. Unlike other relationships in my life, I do not have to worry about losing God’s love. There is no “He loves me, he loves me not...”, with God it is always “He loves ME”.

After observing the life of the field, I felt God saying, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, & the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, & yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they (Mathew 6:25-26)? When I came back to the peace of nature, I realized again that God has my provision in His hands & I do not need to stress as much as I do.

Lastly, as I observed a dragonfly, I was awed by the beauty & intricate detail of a thing so small. I was compelled to express my delight in light of this miraculous creation. Delphi glass was close by, so daisy still in hand I ran in and purchased glass materials that reminded me of the meadow. I already had the sky blue table which was built by my dad & me. This was my first big mosaic project. I love how it turned out. It will be a constant reminder of God’s love, provision & creativity & I am inspired to try many other mosaic projects because it was so much fun to work on.

I'm so impressed.  The artwork is lovely but the beauty in you hearing God's message is even more awe-inspiring.  It's cool that everytime you look at that table, you can see God's individual love, just for you.   Quite uplifting.  Thank you for sharing your experience.
