Crown Jewels Pendant

 For this series, I first tack fuse together pieces of clear glass. Then, using a medieval finger weaving technique, I weave fabric from 14/20 Rose and Yellow gold wire. I then embed this woven metal fabric behind the glass using a UV resin gel. The fun part about this series is that by simply changing the shapes of the fused glass, you can completely change the way you experience the underlying weave. My favorite effects at the moment are with the pyramid shapes used in this pendant. The pyramids take the straight lines of the weave and distort them into interesting wavy lines.
