Eagle Creek

0 loves

An octagon window in our master bathroom with an eagle swooping down into a creek. The zink frame was fabricated and soldered in place then I cleaned up the mitred joints on my bench. Glass supplied by Delphi Glass. My first big project assembled over about a year. A few different soldering techniques used. Some surface only soldier like the eye and some of the wing feathers. This kept the glass to a manageable size and still allowed me to divide the glass with surface foil tape on both faces (First and second surface) then soldered. The original artist that inspired this piece is Derek Schmidt of ArtGlassWindows.
