Coral bowl

The Ocean is full of over 220,000 marine species. When looking into this topaz blue bowl the viewer is able to look through the water at the Coral "living”  below. When viewed on the side, you feel like you have entered the underwater world and can touch this glass coral and feel its texture. 

This bowl was done in 4 firings. The first one to full fuse the coral, one to full fuse/bubble squeeze the topaz water and one to tack fuse the coral to the water. The final firing was a slump fuse to create the bowl shape.
