Meadowlark

I cut and soldered glass to fit this frame, and then free-style mosaiced a meadowlark on top of the glass. I layered the glass to try to create the bird's multi-colored feathers.

The meadowlark is the state bird of Kansas, and they like to sing from on top of posts. Kansas has a history of using limestone fence posts, so the posts here are small pieces of native limestone from my pond.
