Teddy turtle

A pocket vase that I made from several different pieces of glass. First made the base of by drawing out the shape. Then made the shell by drawing out the design on a matching piece of brown opal glass. Then cut individual pieces of variegated glass to fit My pattern for the shell.  Placed the pieces and fired all pieces separately . Then laid the shell over the back part with several layers of thick fiber paper shaped like a shell to fit the backing between the shell leaving  space  to remove it after firing. Love love love this little guy.
