Iris Germanica (commonly known as the German Iris), is one of the most popular and classic bearded irises. Its rhizomes have been used in skin care and perfumes for centuries.
Note the sparkle in the petals. This is a result from using the rare and discontinued deep violet “granite” glass made by Youghiogheny.
The leaves showcase sunlight filtering through, and the background glass is a light amber with iridescent gold.
