Lace Mandala Mosaic

This stained glass mosaic mandala design was created from the inside out and is a meditative practice for me. Beginning in the center, the intricate lace pattern draws your eye and adds a touch of whimsey. The tiny glass pieces are then fitted together like a puzzle. Rather than completely filling in the background with mosaic pieces, I chose to attach it to an additional iridescent glass panel. The play of light between the levels gives the piece an ethereal quality. 

The mandala is mounted in a sturdy plastic frame and measures 8.75 x 8.75 inches. It comes with a black metal stand and is ready to display on a table or shelf. To show off the beautiful colors, place near a light source so each facet can catch the light and make it sparkle.

The glass is translucent so the colors will look different depending on the lighting. Photos taken both in direct sunlight and artificial light.
