Irish Kilt

1 loves
Description:

In the beginning of January 2025, I was asked to do a 2ftx3ft  piece for a new brewery being built in Roscommon, Michigan.  They asked for a kilt with specific tartan colors and pastel colors for the background.  I wasn't sure I could do it and it was a challenge not only to come up with a plaid pattern but a pattern I could transfer to a glass!  I hand draw 95% of my patterns and while it is not my largest piece, it definitely has the most pieces I have done yet at 486pcs!

As an extra surprise, I added chain and tassels to the sorrel to give it more dimension!

I delivered this piece the beginning of March and they were ecstatic!  The brewery is set to open by the end of April.

Delphi is where I learned my love for the art of stained glass in 1998 when I worked in the call center helping people create their magic through glass!
