The Kiss

This is my re-creation of Gustav Klimts "The Kiss". I made it as a wedding gift for a dear friend.  Although it was hard to part with because I spent so many hours drawing out the pattern and incorporating many different mediums into the piece, making sure I gave this picture the justice it deserves. I put my all into every project and treat it as though it were my own, and I guess every piece I do is a part of me in a way.  As much as I would love to keep it, I know that whoever gets it will appriciate and enjoy it for years to come. I love to experiment with my glass work, and is why I especially enjoyed making this one. Besides the glass I used different type & size glass beads, faceted jewels, wire work,channeling and paint to re-create a timeless piece.
