This turtle is made from the thick woody stem of a dried palm tree frond. The shell, head, legs and tail are all pieces cut out of the same large palm frond, fastened together, sealed, then covered with stained glass mosaics. The turtle is 18 inches in length, 10 inches in width, and stands 5 inches high. The mosaics were done on fiberglass mesh, then adhered to the turtle's surfaces.
