Glimpses of Twin Lights

This mixed media mosaic is a combination of glass, clay, and other minerals including malachite, hematite, jasper, and jade. It depicts my rendition of the Twin Lights in Highlands, NJ from Sandy Hook National Park. This is where we spent many blissful summer days in the shadow of the lighthouse we grew to love. Gifted to my cousin for a landmark birthday there is a tiny corked bottle washed up on the beach containing a birthday message. Some sand from that beach in resin and some rock I collected is included with the iridized glass that glistens so beautifully when the light strikes it from different angles. Photos do not do this justice.
