Froggie went a Courting- AKA My Prince

Frog is hand cut stained glass used on it's side to show variations in color. I used lots of mixed green stained glass, mirror, and gold glass. Each piece of glass was cut to approximatel 1/4". There are hematite and seed beads for the eyes and silver bugle beads for the mouth. weldbond glue was used as the adhesive. The entire process was about 35 hours. 

The frog is 4" long, 2 1/2 " tall, and 4' wide. The glass is adhered to a cement substrate ( an old garden ornament). The mosaic is perched on glass bead drops. 

This mosaic is very special as it is dedicated as a memorial to my parents. My father courted my mother with the "Froggie Went a Courting" song while they were dating.
