I was inspired to do this work because of the influence the 'Book of Kells' has had on me. The exquisite development of the Celtic knot entwining scriptural texts with still more beautiful and exacting color and illumination design is, to me, breathtaking.

This window inset measures approx. 34" in height, 23" in width. In this copper foil project I used a bright selection of translucent, textured blue, red, gold and green glass. Some aspects of this work were painted for further detail.

Dear Xocheet, Thank you very much for your appreciation of my Celtic window. It meant a lot to me to see a word such as, WOW. I have been doing stained glass in an adult ed. program from a nearby high school for a few years now and love doing it. We have a wonderful instructor and a great group of working people who come to this fabulous class once a week during the school season to work with their personal glass projects. Presently,I am working on another Celtic design. Perhaps you will see that in the next contest. Thank you again for your appreciation. Camilla Roach
