Virgin Mary

I designed and hand painted the patterns in her robes inspired by the classic patterns seen on the Virgins robes. I wanted to portray a rose that grew through concrete in this piece by combining classic religious art with a more modern urban feel with the spiked solder and traditional tattoo style rose. I also did a iridescent glass sheet I got from Delphi as her halo to reflect like an aura around her in the sun
