Eclipse

This piece is inspired by the 2 total eclipses I saw in 2017 and 2024.  The background is made to look like the sky during the eclipse, a dusty blue/gray, out of Oceanside glass.   The center is the black look of the sun with the moon covering it, made from my stash of sparkly black aventurine (not currently available).  To show the corona of the sun I used Wissmach white luminescent glass.   My lighting designer created the effect of the actual eclipse by changing the stand and a strategically placed back light.
