Reflections of Giverny

1 loves
Description:

Reflections of Giverny explores the quiet dialogue between light, water, flora, and fauna. Inspired by the atmosphere of Monet’s garden, as well as the Japanese koi pond at Lansing Community College, the composition brings koi, lotus flowers, and lily pads into a unified, rotational movement that suggests quiet and continuity, order and flow.

Carefully selected glass in layered blues and greens, warm ambers, and soft blush tones allows light to animate the surface, shifting throughout the day like reflections on water. The interplay of opacity, translucence, and overlapping form creates depth, inviting the viewer into a moment of serene contemplation, where motion softens, and light becomes the subject as much as the scene itself.
