Lynx - Mother and Cub

This panel depicts a mother lynx with her cub.  I tried to show the closeness and protective maternal instince of this magnificent animal. They are peacefully enjoying the serenity of their forest perch on a moss-covered rock mound. The mother ever so wary of any dangers while the cub focuses on something outside the frame of the panel.

The piece is hand-painted to bring out the unique colorations.  The leaves on the top third of the panel are soldered onto the flat panel to create dimensionality. Glass choices varied and selected for transparancy and texture.
